BIO
Miami-based electro-pop duo Afrobeta serves up an eclectic mix of electronic, funk, and Latin rhythms that ignites an unforgettable dance party wherever they land their bass-ship. They're fresh off winning a regional Emmy Award for their documentary Birthright, which premiered on the closing night of the Miami International Film Festival and was broadcast nationally on PBS during Hispanic Heritage Month in 2023.
Their edgy pop-earworms broke them through Miami’s local scene to the stage of Ultra Music Festival and garnered a host of “Best Of” awards. Since their launch in 2006, they've toured internationally, including festivals like Glastonbury, Space Ibiza, UMF (Brazil and South Korea), Electric Forest, Okeechobee Fest, and beyond, and rocked alongside like-minded artists including Sofi Tukker, Hot Chip, The Crystal Method, The Prodigy, Trentemoller, SOPHIE, Diplo, Deadmau5 and many more.
Afrobeta was named in the Top 50 Miami Bands of All Time, alongside the iconic Miami Sound Machine. They're currently on tour supporting their latest single, "Head Games," and showcasing other brand new tracks off their forthcoming album, ESO ES.

"Together they are unstoppable, with a sound that can best be described as an unexpectedly colorful explosion of feel-good lyrics, electronic beats and psychedelic mischief."
-
"With their dance-a-licious beats, Afrobeta’s songs are classic yet modern, underground yet Billboard chart-friendly. It wouldn’t be surprising to find Afrobeta writing songs for Madonna or even M.I.A. For now, Miami is lucky to have them on a regular basis; they’re a match in disco-house heaven."

“Even at a festival with 300 acts, this two-some has a totally unique sound.”
